Welcome To Tyndall Air Force Base Off Base Housing
We are not an official USAF website, but we help newcomers by providing information and resources to ensure a smooth and successful relocation to Tyndall Air Force Base.

Location
Tyndall AFB is situated in Bay County, on the beautiful Gulf of Mexico in the Florida Panhandle, approximately 12 miles east of Panama City. The Panama City area is renowned for its stunning sugar-white sand beaches and emerald green waters, making it a popular tourist destination.

Host Unit at Tyndall
The 325th Fighter Wing is the host unit at Tyndall AFB. Their mission is to develop resourceful and resilient Airmen, ready to project unparalleled combat air power for the United States. The wing specializes in training and preparing F-22 Raptor pilots, intelligence officers, and maintainers for deployment to combat Air Force units.

Rebuilding After The Hurricane
Following the impact of Hurricane Michael in 2018, Tyndall AFB is undergoing significant reconstruction to emerge as the Air Force’s first 21st Century “Installation of the Future.” There are plans for the arrival of the F-35 Lightning II aircraft beginning in September 2023, marking a significant milestone in modernization efforts.
